Beaumont Youth Baseball/Softball Code of Conduct

Our Goal:

Beaumont Youth Baseball/Softball exists to instill in our children good sportsmanship, honesty, courage, and respect—for themselves, others, and authority.

Objective:
Beaumont Youth Baseball/Softball aims to instill in our children the values of good sportsmanship, honesty, courage, and respect—for themselves, others, and authority. To achieve this, any actions by Managers, Coaches, Parents, or Spectators that are detrimental to the league will not be tolerated. Anyone found violating this code may lose the privilege of attending BYB events for the season.

Prohibited Conduct:
  1. Intoxication at any BYB event.
  2. Verbal abuse directed at Umpires, Players, Managers, Coaches, Spectators, or League Officials.
  3. Unsportsmanlike behavior, including “grandstand managing” or attempting to influence umpire decisions.
  4. Negative criticism of Umpires, Players, Managers, Coaches, Spectators, or League Officials.
  5. Use of tobacco products in dugouts, on the playing fields, or in the bleacher areas.

Enforcement Procedure:
  1. Verbal warning to the offender.
  2. Verbal warning to the Manager, Coach, or Team Representative.
  3. Ejection of the offender and, if applicable, the Manager, Coach, or Team Representative.
  4. If the ejected individual fails to leave, law enforcement will be contacted.
