Reminder – Tournament Play (Pinto/8U and Older)
For all Baseball and Softball divisions Pinto/8U and above, tournament play schedules will be posted and updated as Pool Play standings are finalized at the end of the regular season.
Tentative brackets will be listed here for reference and will be updated as teams’ standings are confirmed.

Weather, Game Cancellations, and Field Decisions – What Families Need to Know

We’ve received many questions about weather, game cancellations, and how we make decisions. Here’s an overview to help clarify:

We’ve received many questions about weather, game cancellations, and how we make decisions. Here’s an overview to help clarify:
- Safety First: All field closure decisions are based on player safety and field conditions.
- Light Rain: Your player might still play in light rain or sprinkles.
- Decision Timing: Decisions are typically made around 3:00 p.m., unless heavy rain earlier in the day makes the closure obvious.
- Field Differences: Some fields at Noble Creek Park drain differently than others. Sometimes only a specific field is closed; other times the entire park may be closed.
- Notification: If a game is cancelled, you will be notified via social media, text from your coach or team parent, or the BYB website. (Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for updates.) Notifications are sent in this order: team texts → social media → website.
- Foal Teams: Cancelled games will be rescheduled toward the end of the season, when weather is more predictable.
- Shetland Teams: Depending on the number of cancellations, some games may be rescheduled toward the end of the season.
- Upper Divisions (Pinto and up / 8U softball and up): The board reviews cancelled games to determine which teams were most affected. Practice games are not usually rescheduled, but we aim to provide all teams with a full and fair experience. Pool play games that are cancelled must be rescheduled to ensure accurate standings.
- Practice games do not affect team standings.
- Once pool play begins, game outcomes do affect standings and determine tournament play, culminating in Closing Day championship games.
